INTRODUCTION
NMB PLC Headquarters is now fully protected. IAES has successfully delivered and installed an advanced Water Leak Detection System covering every floor of the building — ensuring real-time monitoring, instant alerts, and zero tolerance for water damage.
Why Water Leak Detection Matters in Commercial Buildings
Water leaks in large commercial buildings are a silent threat. In fact, undetected leaks can cause serious damage to electrical equipment, IT infrastructure, documents, and valuable assets. Moreover, the cost of water damage is often far greater than the cost of prevention. Therefore, every modern high-rise building needs a reliable water leak detection system — not as a luxury, but as a necessity.
Scope of Work
To deliver a complete and reliable solution, our team carried out the following installations across all 11 floors:
Cable Sensor Installation
First, our team installed water-sensitive cable sensors on each floor. These sensors detect the presence of water immediately upon contact. As a result, even the smallest leak triggers an alert before it spreads and causes damage.
Zone Station for Each Floor
Next, our team set up a dedicated zone station on every floor. Each zone station continuously monitors the sensor data on that specific floor and sends its status directly to the central control panel. In other words, every floor stays connected and monitored at all times.
Power and Control Cable Laying
Furthermore, our team laid all necessary power and control cables throughout the building. This step ensures stable communication between each floor’s zone station and the main control panel. Without this, the entire system cannot function reliably.
Central Control Panel with HMI Display
At the heart of the system, our team installed a central control panel with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) display. This screen shows the live status of all 11 floors in one place. As a result, building management can monitor the entire building from a single point at any time. This makes decision-making faster and easier.
SMS Alert System
In addition, our team integrated an automatic SMS notification feature into the system. When the sensors detect a water leak, the system immediately sends an SMS alert to the client, clearly stating which floor the leak has occurred on. Therefore, the response team knows exactly where to go — saving valuable time and reducing damage.
Audible Buzzer Alarm
Finally, our team connected a buzzer alarm that activates the moment a leak occurs. This gives an immediate on-site warning so that building staff can respond without delay. Together with the SMS alert, this dual-alarm approach ensures that no leak goes unnoticed.
Benefits of the System
Thanks to this installation, NMB PLC now enjoys:
- ✅ Real-time leak monitoring across all 11 floors
- ✅ Instant SMS alerts identifying the exact floor of any leak
- ✅ Audible alarms for immediate on-site response
- ✅ Centralized HMI display for easy building management
- ✅ Early detection that prevents damage to equipment and infrastructure
- ✅ Reduced maintenance costs through proactive protection
Conclusion
In conclusion, this project shows IAES’s commitment to delivering smart, reliable building protection solutions. By combining cable sensors, zone stations, a central HMI control panel, SMS alerts, and audible alarms, our team gave NMB PLC a complete early warning system that protects their people, equipment, and assets.
After all, the best time to stop water damage is before it starts.
Early detection today means zero damage tomorrow.
